The Native Society’s Spotlight on Best-Selling Author, Mason R. Glenn

My name is Mason R. Glenn and I am a person that is designed to help bring you inspiration to your community and hopefully yourself along the way. My expertise is in content ideation and brand strategy. For the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of lifestyle brands from matchmaking agencies to non-profit organizations to now working with AirBnB designing a LGBT experience with people visiting Los Angeles for the first time My main project currently has been helming the start and evolution of Gay Matchmaking Club, L.A.’s premiere personal matchmaking agency for gay men. For my fun job, I am a National Coach for The Bar Method one of the pioneers of the barre group fitness industry. One of my proudest accomplishments is writing book on how to become a better gay man for you, a potential partner, and the LGBT community in general. It was noted a “#1 New Release” on Amazon. My soul craves to connect people more to each other or to a brand. Life is too short to not ask questions or maybe connect with someone on a deeper level.

How did you get into the industry?

I knew I had wanted to be in a people-facing business from my corporate Starbucks world past, but knew I wanted something more than just a 30 second conversation with our customers. I knew I was meant to be a mentor of sorts and utilize my skill set of identifying skill sets in the work place to personality traits in the dating field. Over the past few years, I’ve noticed my e-mail marketing campaigns getting a lot of positive feedback and higher analytic response, and I foresee myself developing my professional skill set in that realm in the near future.

Any emerging industry trends?

Over the past year, I’ve seen such a huge shift in date practices form digital to more personal means. Our event platform is soaring, as I see gay men having so many options to date like mobile apps, but are never the right avenues. People want to get off their phones and meet someone the old-fashioned way. It’s been so rewarding to develop new event platforms for our company, and seeing people actually connect and “seal the deal.”…to see the full article, read on here….
